Global Guidelines

These guidelines apply to ALL realms on HOPSIPOP unless stated otherwise in a specific rule.

General Guidelines

Rule Disclaimers

Non-Exhaustive List: These guidelines are not all-encompassing and may be updated. Staff may issue punishments for behaviors not explicitly covered, subject to senior staff review.
Punishment Severity: Consequences for breaking guidelines can range from a warning to an IP ban. Significant rule violations may lead to harsher initial punishments.
Stacking Punishments: Repeated minor violations may result in severe consequences.
Account Responsibility: Punishments are issued based on accounts breaking the guidelines. Another player breaking the guidelines does not grant you permission to do the same, even in self-defense.
Ignorance Is No Excuse: Not knowing the guidelines does not exempt you from following them.
Joking or Bypassing: Joking about breaking the guidelines, attempting to bypass them, or knowing of someone else’s violation without reporting it will be treated as if you were breaking the guideline yourself.
Reporting Violations: You must provide proof when reporting a violation. Staff will verify your proof but will not search logs to find it for you. Proof may be shared with the offending player, so ensure sensitive information is masked.
Discussion of Punishments: Discussing punishments outside of a staff ticket is prohibited. What constitutes discussion is at staff discretion.
Staff Decisions: Any discussion about staff decisions must occur in a Discord ticket and be conducted in a mature and cooperative manner.
Non-HOPSIPOP Spaces: HOPSIPOP does not moderate activities outside of its spaces (server and/or Discord). Violations outside of HOPSIPOP will be noted only if they meet specific criteria.

Chat and Community Interaction Guidelines

These guidelines apply anywhere text is visible in the game or in Discord, including in-game chat, party/island/faction chats, private messages, signs, and item/mob names.

Language: English only in public spaces (main chat, signs, renamed items/mobs, etc.). Private channels (PMs, party/island/faction chat) may use any language, as long as other chat guidelines are followed.
Respectful Communication: Speak respectfully to and about others.
No Cursing: No cursing at/about players, staff, or the server.
No Abusive Language: No abusive language related to disabilities, sexuality, gender identity, sex, or race. This includes any term with a significant negative connotation, regardless of intent.
No Harassment: No intentionally annoying others, including continuing after being asked to stop.
No Advertising: No advertising socials, other servers, or HOPSIPOP on other servers.
No Politics or Religion: No politics, religion, sexual content, or inappropriate/disturbing chat (per staff discretion).
No Spam: No repeated letters, punctuation, phrases, or splitting a sentence across multiple messages.
No Discriminatory Language: No discriminatory language (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.).
No Chat Filter Bypassing: No bypassing/attempting to bypass the chat filter.
No Custom Fonts: No use of custom or non-English fonts.
No Special Characters: No use of special characters in a spammy manner (subject to staff discretion).
No Threats: Any talk of DDOS, cyber-attacks, real-life threats, or doxxing is strictly prohibited, even as a joke.
Infractions Outside HOPSIPOP: Infractions may be moderated outside of HOPSIPOP if they include extreme threats, incitement of violence, or major doxxing.

Build Guidelines

Inappropriate Builds: Builds must adhere to general chat guidelines, including no inappropriate or offensive structures.
Server Impact: Builds designed to slow down or crash the server or a player’s client are strictly prohibited.
0-Tick Farms: These are banned, even if not intended to slow/crash the system. The server will automatically disable such devices.

Account / Alt Account Guidelines

Non-Premium Accounts: Non-premium accounts are not supported by the server. While not against the guidelines, we will not assist in transferring anything to/from these accounts if access is lost.
Unfair Advantages: Using non-premium accounts or websites offering free/low-cost mass alts to benefit your main account is prohibited. Violations will result in punishment to both the main and alt account(s).
Account Sharing: Sharing your username/password with others is strongly discouraged. Any actions taken by your account are irreversible, regardless of who was signed in.

Glitches / Exploits / Illegal Activity Guidelines

Note: Violating these guidelines, particularly those related to hacking, is considered a significant infraction.

Hacked Clients & Unfair Advantages: Possession or use of hacked clients, texture/resource packs offering unfair advantages, auto-clickers, or any cheats on your account is prohibited.
AFK Mechanisms: Using any method to continually trigger a mouse or keyboard button without player presence is prohibited.
Macros and Scripts: Generally allowed except in the following cases:
- Auto-joining
- Any macro that sends more than one command per run
- Any macro that can be toggled to repeatedly send a command
Exploits: Using, abusing, or failing to report knowledge of any exploit is prohibited. Exploits must be reported to staff immediately.
Dragon Eggs: Loss of a Dragon Egg due to interaction after placement is not considered a glitch and will not result in replacement or compensation.

Punished Account Guidelines

Ban Evasion: Using alt accounts during a ban is prohibited. This will result in punishment for the alt account and may extend the punishment for all accounts.
Mute Evasion: Using any method to send messages during a mute is prohibited. Signs or books may be used for general communication but not for continuing to break guidelines.
Aiding in Punishment Evasion: Failing to report or aiding someone in evading a punishment is prohibited and treated as a significant infraction.

Scamming / Deals / Deception Guidelines

Real Money Transactions: Players can accept/offer real money for in-game trades; however, you are fully responsible for any risks involved. HOPSIPOP will not mediate or enforce any real-life financial agreements or disputes.
In-Game Deals: Any deal made for in-game items or currency must have clear screenshots of the agreed terms before the trade occurs for it to be enforceable by staff. These screenshots must include:
- Specific item names.
- Specific dates when items will be provided or returned.
- Specific and clearly stated costs.
- Clear identification of the player (including their full Discord tag if the deal was made in Discord).
Deal Fulfillment: Deals involving “borrowing” or future returns without specifying a time frame will be assumed to require fulfillment within 15 minutes. If there are delays or lack of communication, it will be considered scamming.
Staff Responsibility: Staff will only enforce the base deal and will not support interest agreements or enforce deals involving intangible assets. If future repayment is involved, staff will not create assets for the user if they do not have the required resources.

Payment / Store Guidelines

Chargebacks: Issuing or threatening to issue a chargeback or legal action against HOPSIPOP will result in a permanent ban from the network.
Gift Purchases: Logging into the HOPSIPOP store under another player’s username is not allowed. To purchase something for another player, log in as yourself and use the “Gift this package” option.

Voting Guidelines

Voting Limits: Using any means to exceed the intended number of votes within 24 hours is prohibited. The intended number of votes is equal to the current number of voting sites listed on the HOPSIPOP website and through /vote in-game.
Name Usage: Entering a name other than your own when voting is not allowed.
Online Requirement: You must be online for the specific server you want rewards on when voting. HOPSIPOP is not responsible for the functionality of vote sites. Compensation will only be provided if it’s shown that the player was online and the server received the vote.
Alt Account Voting: Using an alt account or IP to receive more than the intended number of votes per day is not allowed.

Command Guidelines

Impersonation: Changing your nickname or IGN to impersonate another player or staff is prohibited, regardless of the player’s activity or punishment status.
Staff Colors: Using staff colors or color codes for nicknames and chat is prohibited. This includes:
- Only staff colors (&6 and &b) for nicknames.
- Only or predominantly staff colors (&b, &e, and &3) for chat color. Predominance is determined by staff discretion.
